Seco Carbide Product Range Overview
| Company Products Library World | | | | | | | | Product range | Seco is well-known for its wide, innovative and powerful range of milling cutters and inserts for milling in almost any work material - from soft steel or easy-to-machine aluminium to difficult-to-machine super alloys. The milling cutters and inserts represent a comprehensive range for all applications - from milling of small components in small machining centres to heavy-duty-milling in high power milling machines - in face milling, square shoulder milling, slot milling with disc mills, pocket milling with drilling end mills, contour milling with end mills and helical mills, copy milling and a lot of other operations as plunging, thread milling, spot facing, radii milling, chamfer milling etc. | | The Seco range of coated and uncoated turning inserts, supplemented with the Snap Tap range of inserts for threading, parting-off comprises nearly 4000 standard insert products and more than 1000 toolholders. The products represent one of the most comprehensive ranges available on the market.
Secolor is a selection system first introduced by Seco in the late 1980's, and has since then had many followers. The Secolor system continues to be the model for product selection and optimization. It allows you to easily choose and optimize grade and chipbreaker combinations for your unique application. With the introduction of three new universal grades and three versatile chipbreakers, Secolor has become even easier. | | Secomax is a range of high performance cutting tool grades based on PCBN-Polycrystalline Cubic Boron Nitride. The current range of Secomax grades are CBN350, CBN300, CBN20, CBN150, CBN100 and CBN10.
Secomax grades are formulated and specifically developed for machining hardened steel, pearlitic cast iron, hard iron and superalloys. When machining these materials with Secomax substantial reductions can be achieved in production costs. For example machining times compared to grinding can be reduced by up to 90 %. Secomax inserts can also outperform ceramics by more than 30 times when machining pearlitic cast iron. Capable of high stock removal rates and environmental benefits, Secomax offers many advantages compared to grinding. | | Solid Carbide Drills
Brazed Carbide Tipped Drills
Seco CrownLoc
Perfomax Indexable Drills
The Perfomax range of indexable drills, in diameters 15-80mm, is based on long experience and the very latest technological advances in drilling. Strong square inserts for good machining economy, a rigid drill body and good chip flow enable the drills to handle high metal removal rates. The drills can be used both in rotating and non-rotating applications. A unique chip path configuration reduces noise and vibration. Drilling depths from 2 x D to 5 x D.Drill precision holes at low cost in the hole diameter range from 12 to 20 mm with Seco CrownLoc. The exchangable crowns cuts all your regrinding costs. With every change of crown, a new one guarantees long and predictable tool life. Exchangable crowns also allows for high cutting speeds reducing machining cost. Optimised geometries for different workpiece materials; steel, stainless steel and cast iron, completes the advantages with the CrownLoc system.Brazed carbide tipped drills in diameters 9,85-32,10 mm for drilling quality holes without any finishing operations. Self centring geometry with a TiN coated P25 micro grain carbide gives good chip control and tool life in most workpiece materials. Coolant through the drills for safe chip evacuation. Seco´s solid carbide drills in diameters 3-18mm are designed for modern CNC machining centres which can take full advantage of the drill´s high performance. The self-centring geometry gives quality holes without any pre- or finishing operations. (Ti,Al)N coated P25 micro grain carbide gives excellent performance and tool life in a wide range of materials for good total machining economy. | | Seco's toolholders for all types of machining centres. The toolholder is the link between the “spindle and the cutting tool”. For an excellent combination of price and performance we offer modular (Graflex® ) holders for the best possible flexibility and (Monobloc) solid holders. Holders for HSM (High Speed Machining) as Hydraulic chucks, and collet chucks to suit collet type D, and also Shrink fit holders in different lengths and profiles. Induction Tool-shrinking device to “Shrink Grip” and “Shrink Release” tools, includes tool stop setting system and cooling device. Talk to Seco before equipping your machining centre. | | | | | |
